Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.
Integrative therapy is a progressive form of psychotherapy that combines different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual client.
As a Gestalt therapist, I see my role as one of helping you become more self-aware, making links and recognising patterns in your life. I work in the "here and now", this means that by working together we can explore how past experiences affect your present.
"Gestalt therapists believe that people potentially have all the necessary abilities to solve their problems or face their difficulties. However, sometimes they get stuck and need some assistance. I see my task as a therapist is to help you see more clearly what your situation is, find out how you are a part of it, and experiment with finding new solutions or ways to face the difficulty."
